Turnover @ Toledo Bend ?

Wondering if any of our Texas members know what stage the lake turnover is in ?

Buddy of mine lives on the Louisiana side and he said it all started about a month ago and fishing had just completely shut down....not even worth getting on the water. I've fished there for a long time and have never heard of a lake that big turning over.

Any updates appreciated.

The water visibility was about 18" and water temps ran from 87 to 90 degrees. Now I did say I was out there with less than 20 other boats, well I just hope these people are not members here.

6am I am at Oak Thicket Ramp boat is in the water and I'm ready, I have the following rigged up: Tiny Torpedo, Rapala Floating minnow, Frog, Swimbait, and StrikeKing Zero. I motor over to a small pocket not too far from the ramp. This spot usually lets me know real quick what the most productive lure will be for the rest of the morning. I start out throwing the Torpedo ( Just Love those topwater hits dont You ) no hits on the Torpedo, Throw a white Zero, BAM, 1st cast made into deContinue
